FTE Enrollment
About this Indicator
The reported 12-month undergraduate FTE enrollment is a calculated measure of the equivalent number of full-time students represented by an institution’s instructional activity over the 12-month period from July 1 through June 30. It is derived from the credit or clock hours attempted that the institution reports in the 12-Month Enrollment component and from the institution’s academic calendar system. For institutions on a quarter calendar, 45 undergraduate credit hours equal one FTE. For institutions on a semester, trimester, 4-1-4, or other academic year calendar, 30 undergraduate credit hours equal one FTE. For all calendar systems, 900 undergraduate clock hours equal one FTE. The underlying 12-month enrollment reporting includes students enrolled for credit during the reporting period, including on- and off-campus students, dual enrollment students, and students taking distance or online courses.
