About this Indicator

College Location shows the percentage of first-time freshmen who recently graduated from high school within a particular state and enrolled in an in-state postsecondary institution, an out-of-state postsecondary institution within the Midwest, and an out-of-state postsecondary institution outside of the Midwest. College enrollment only includes high school graduates who enrolled in a postsecondary institution in the term following graduation from high school or receiving a GED diploma.

Note. Estimates include enrollment at any Title IV-participating postsecondary institution. Students with unknown residence and those entering from outlying territories and foreign countries are excluded.
