SUMMARY:Midwest Workforce Pathways Convening
DESCRIPTION:This invitation-only\, in-person symposium\, hosted by MHEC in partnership with Complete College America (CCA) and Indigo Wave Consulting\, LLC\, will bring together cross-sector state teams from across the MHEC region to examine noncredit-to-credit policy and practice\, identify priority areas for improvement\, and develop actionable strategies to strengthen learner mobility and workforce alignment. \nThe convening is intentionally designed as part of a broader engagement process that includes pre-convening landscape analysis\, virtual preparation sessions\, cross-state peer collaboration\, and sustained follow-up support. Importantly\, each state team will have the flexibility to define its own priorities and action-planning agenda based on its unique policy landscape\, workforce needs\, and strategic goals. \nFor more information contact Carrie Wandler\, Senior Director of Policy Initiatives.

SUMMARY:Midwest Listening Session: National Priorities for Open Education
DESCRIPTION:Please join MHEC for a special Midwest Listening Session: National Priorities for Open Education. This session will give members of the Midwest OER State Action Teams an opportunity to contribute directly to the Open Education Association’s National Priorities process\, a field-wide effort to identify shared priorities for open education advocacy and action over the next three years. \nDuring this facilitated listening session\, we’ll discuss potential priority areas\, identify where important work is already underway\, and consider where open education can offer meaningful solutions to challenges facing higher education today. Input from listening sessions across the field will help inform the priorities considered at the National Summit in November. \nWe hope you’ll join us and bring your perspectives\, experiences\, and ideas from across the Midwest. As leaders working within institutions\, systems\, and statewide initiatives\, your insight will be especially valuable in identifying the challenges and opportunities that should shape national priorities for open education.
